Suitable for: Children 1+ year old

Join this small group course where you’ll learn about the often misunderstood toddler age and the crucial motor, brain and emotional development your child is going through, while also upgrading your partnership skills as you child grows their will power. This builds on the skills and learning from the Baby Course. (You can still attend the Toddler Course if you haven’t done this.)

This course is created by Pennie Brownlee, based on the learnings of Dr Emmi Pikler and supported by the latest brain research.

What will I learn?

Parents Only session
Without the children, we will set the tone for our classes and discuss the importance of play in the upcoming sessions.

Week 1 - Play and the Intelligences
We will learn about the patterns of play and how you can support your child’s growing imagination.

Week 2 - Emotions
Explore the human emotional spectrum, stress, energy and feelings so we can best cope with the strong emotions of your toddler.

Week 3 - Routines, Rituals ad Rhythm.
Looking at what you do to maintain a secure and safe relationship as your child becomes more independent.

Week 4 - Supporting Wonder
We look at the ways your child uses their senses to collect information and explore the world around them and build a body of knowledge.

Week 5 - The Invitation
Upgrade your partnership skills as your child grows their will power and look at how to work with your toddler, instead of against them.

Week 6 - Conflict
Opportunity to observe our own style of handling conflict and learn healthy ways to manage and support your child through conflict.

Week 7 - Creativity and Imagination
We will look at how crucial imaginative play is to your child developing true intelligent and innovative qualities and how we can support this.

Week 8 - Love and Fear
Learning about the role of love and fear in trusting your toddler and how they relate to the world and people around them.

Week 9 - Culture vs Biology
Looking at our culture’s view of toddlerhood, their biological needs at this age and how you can be a guardian for your child’s holistic wellbeing.

Week 10 - The Act of Love
Looking at what get’s in the way of love, what promotes it and bringing together all the learning form the past nine weeks.
